Marblehead Residents Head to the Polls for State Primary Election

Voters to Choose Nominees for Governor, Lieutenant Governor, and More

Polls are now open across Marblehead for the state primary election. Voters will have the chance to choose nominees for governor, lieutenant governor, attorney general, secretary of state, treasurer, and auditor.

The polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Voters can find their polling place by visiting the Marblehead town website.

There are several competitive races on the ballot, including the race for governor. Incumbent Governor Charlie Baker is facing a challenge from Democrat Maura Healey. The race for lieutenant governor is also competitive, with incumbent Karyn Polito facing a challenge from Democrat Kim Driscoll.

In addition to the statewide races, there are also several local races on the ballot. Voters will choose nominees for state representative, state senator, and county commissioner.

The primary election is the first step in the process of choosing the state's next leaders. The general election will be held on November 8.
